Release notes template

What changed in each release, grouped into new, improved and fixed, written for customers.

This is the page you get. Every block and row is editable.

What it is

Release notes tell customers what changed in each version, grouped into new, improved and fixed. Write them for the person using the product. Say what they can do now, and leave the internal refactoring out. Newest release on top, older ones folded away.

When to use it

  • Every product release or monthly update
  • Changelogs on your website
  • Internal notes for support before a release goes out

How to use it

  1. 01

    Add a heading per release

Version number and date in the heading, then New, Improved and Fixed underneath.

  2. 02

    Rewrite from tickets

Paste ticket titles, select them and use Ask AI with Improve to turn them into customer language.

  3. 03

    Fold old releases

Move older versions into the toggle at the bottom so the page stays short.

  4. 04

    Publish

Publish the page and link to it from your app or website. Updates show on the same link.

Or have the AI draft your version

"Write release notes for version 2.3 of a meal planning app with three new features, two improvements and four bug fixes, written for home cooks."
