Terms of use
These terms govern your use of Prompt Notebook at prompt-notebook.com, the website and the workspace service. By creating an account you agree to them.
Last updated 18 October 2026
Who you are dealing with
Prompt Notebook is operated by dionics media UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Birkhuhnweg 8, 31303 Burgdorf, Germany, registered at Amtsgericht Hildesheim, HRB 205032. Contact details are in the imprint.
What the service is
Prompt Notebook is a workspace for notes, documents and databases. You can write pages, organise them in a tree, share them by link, publish them to the web, and have an AI draft text and answer questions from your pages.
The service is in free early access. You pay nothing, and nothing in these terms obliges you to pay. Because it is early access, features can change, appear or go away while we work on it. Paid plans described on our pricing page are plans, not offers, and would only apply to you if you agree to them separately.
We may limit the free service or end it. We will tell account holders by email at least four weeks in advance, so you have time to export your pages. We offer no service level and no guaranteed uptime.
Your account
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
Give your real name or a name you are happy for others to see on shared pages, and an email address you can receive mail at. Keep your password to yourself and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. An account is for one person. Do not share it.
Acceptable use
When you use the service, do not:
- Put illegal content in a page, or use the service to break the law
- Publish pages that infringe someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights, or that defame, harass or threaten people
- Use published pages for spam, phishing, malware, or to pretend to be another person or organisation
- Link to or spread malware
- Scrape the service, run load tests against it, or send automated traffic to it beyond normal use of the app
- Get around the daily AI limit, for example with several accounts or automated requests
- Try to get into pages, accounts or systems you have no access to
Reporting illegal content
We do not check pages before they are written, shared or published. If you find content on Prompt Notebook, including a published page, that you think is illegal, write to websites@dionics.ai with the link, what the content is and why you think it is illegal. We look at every report, may remove the content or block access to it, and tell you and the page owner what we decided.
Your content
What you write stays yours. You give us only the rights we need to run the service. We store your content, show it to you and to the people you give access to, copy it for backups and page history, and process it to provide features such as sync, search, export and the AI features. When you choose an AI action, that includes sending the content described in the privacy notice to our AI provider. If you publish a page, you also let us show it to anyone on the web until you unpublish it. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from backups that expire on their own schedule.
You are responsible for what you write and for who you give access to. Anyone with a share link can open the page, and if the link allows editing, signed-in users with it can change the page. A published page is public. Turn the link off or unpublish the page if it reaches the wrong people.
AI output
The AI features produce drafts and answers. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, they can misread your pages, and they can resemble text that exists elsewhere. Check them, and the sources an answer cites, before you rely on them or pass them on. How you use AI output is your decision and your responsibility.
Each account can make 30 AI requests per day. A request counts when you send it, even if it fails. We may change the limit or switch the AI features off, for example when the provider is unavailable.
Availability and backups
We work to keep the service running and your pages safe. We cannot promise that the service is always available, free of errors, or that no data is ever lost. Export pages you care about as Markdown or HTML from time to time.
Ending your use
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. Deleting it deletes the pages you own, including what others added to them.
We can end your account with four weeks' notice by email. We can suspend or end it without notice if you seriously breach these terms, for example by publishing illegal content or attacking the service, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable, we warn you first and give you time to export your pages.
Liability
We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act, and to the extent of any guarantee we have given or defects we have fraudulently concealed. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential duties, meaning those whose performance makes proper use of the service possible at all and on which you may regularly rely, and then only for foreseeable, typical damage. Otherwise our liability is excluded.
Where we are liable for slight negligence and data is lost, our liability covers the effort needed to restore it from exports a careful user would have made.
These limits also apply to the personal liability of our staff and agents.
Links out
We link to other sites, and pages can contain links and embedded media put there by users. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they contain. Their own terms and privacy notices apply.
Law and venue
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the country where you habitually reside. If you are a merchant within the meaning of the German Commercial Code, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is our seat in Burgdorf.
Consumer dispute resolution
We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration body.
If a clause fails
If any part of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest stays in force.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for a valid reason, such as a new feature, a change in the law or a court ruling. We send account holders the new version by email at least four weeks before it takes effect, and the email explains your options.
If you object before that date, the current terms stay in place for you, and we may then end your account with four weeks' notice. If you do not object, the new terms apply from that date. Changes to the main features of the service, or any introduction of a price, need your express agreement.
