Study planner template

Exam dates, a weekly study timetable and spaced review sessions planned backwards from each exam.

This is the page you get. Every block and row is editable.

What it is

A study planner works backwards from exam dates. It sets a weekly timetable and schedules spaced review, going over a topic again after one day, three days, a week and two weeks. Testing yourself with past questions or flashcards beats rereading, and the plan has room to note what isn't working.

When to use it

  • Four to six weeks before exams
  • Several exams close together
  • You tend to cram the night before

How to use it

  1. 01

    List exams and topics

Write each exam with the date and what's covered.

  2. 02

    Set the weekly timetable

Plan specific blocks per subject. Leave one day off.

  3. 03

    Schedule reviews

Add a toggle per topic with to-dos for each review interval. Tick them as you go.

  4. 04

    Make practice questions

Select your notes and use Ask AI to turn them into questions to test yourself.

Or have the AI draft your version

"Create a study plan for three university exams in five weeks (statistics, marketing and law), with a weekly timetable, spaced review per topic and two past papers per subject."
