Sprint board template

Tickets for the current sprint on a board from backlog to done, with points, type and assignee.

7 database rows

This is the page you get. Every block and row is editable.

What it is

A sprint board holds the tickets for one sprint, usually one or two weeks, and shows them in columns from backlog to done. Points estimate effort, type separates features from bugs and chores, and each ticket carries its acceptance criteria inside. At the end, unfinished tickets move to the next sprint.

When to use it

  • Engineering teams working in Scrum or fixed sprints
  • Any team that plans work in one or two week blocks
  • Planning meetings where you need a points total

How to use it

  1. 01

    Plan the sprint

Set Sprint to the current sprint on the tickets you commit to. Sort by Points to check the total.

  2. 02

    Write acceptance criteria

Open each ticket and add to-dos for what must be true when it's done.

  3. 03

    Run standup from the board

Walk the In progress and In review columns, right to left.

  4. 04

    Close the sprint

Change Sprint on unfinished tickets to the next one, then hold the retro.
